Signing up for our teen IOP marks the start of your healing transformation. Our teen-focused approach uses effective methods to help you understand the root of problems in school, create healthy habits, and learn healthy coping skills to help you overcome them.
Any type of behavioral issue that a teen is experiencing tends to be indicative of a bigger problem. This could be an undiagnosed mental health condition, experiencing difficulties socially, inability to manage emotions, or a reaction to trauma. To be sure we target all aspects of a teens emotional, physical and psychological self, we offer various therapeutic techniques, including:
Individual Therapy
Our therapists will determine which method of therapy is best for you, such as somatic therapy, gestalt therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
Medication Management
We provide you with adolescent psychiatry services that consider your environment, genetics, and mental state to monitor the effects of the medication.
Case Management
Group Therapy
You will have the opportunity to give and receive peer support. You will also attend other types of group sessions, which will focus on specific goals.

Types of School Issues Teens Struggle With
There are various types of school issues that teens might struggle with, including:
- Issues with teachers: fighting with teachers, not completing classwork, and being disruptive.
- Fights at school: this can include physical altercations, yelling matches, and escalation during conflict, like throwing objects
- Academic decline: not completing homework, grades declining, unable to keep up with the class material
- Social changes: withdrawing from social situations and friends, seemingly changing personality overnight, being excessively social to the point where you cannot be alone
All of these school issues can arise due to mental health conditions and even teen substance abuse. It’s important to keep an eye out for these behaviors to get help as soon as possible.
