Frequently Asked Questions
What is queer therapy?
Our queer-affirming therapy is designed to meet the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals. Our clinicians, many in the community themselves, understand the challenges related to sexual orientation and gender identity and develop personalized treatment plans that address these needs.
How does Virtual IOP work?
Virtual IOP offers the same wide range of evidence-based modalities as our in-person programs, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), somatic experiencing, experiential therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and more.
For the program, you receive personalized support from an individual therapist to gain insight into the root cause of your mental health symptoms.
In group sessions, you’ll create meaningful and supportive bonds with others on the healing journey. Ultimately, the program helps you build and strengthen the skills and coping strategies necessary to face and overcome triggers once you return to daily life.
Is therapy and an outpatient program the same thing?
Mental health outpatient treatment includes therapy and much, much more. Clear’s virtual IOP provides a wide range of therapeutic and experiential experiences, including individual therapy, group therapy, and counseling in a supportive online community.
