Biography

Paul J. Chang, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in
Southern California. He earned his Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller
School of Psychology and previously completed a Master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and
Soul Care at Biola University. His clinical training includes psychodynamic therapy, family
systems theory, and Restoration Therapy, and he works with adolescents, adults, and couples
navigating complex relational, emotional, and identity-related challenges.


Paul specializes in supporting individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, attachment
wounds, grief and loss, relational trauma, and the long-term impact of emotional neglect. He is
particularly passionate about working with clients who struggle with self-criticism,
performance-based self-worth, faith-related concerns, and cultural identity questions. His
therapeutic style is warm, attuned, and experiential– integrating depth-oriented insight with
practical strategies that foster emotional regulation and sustainable growth.


Paul believes meaningful healing occurs within safe, collaborative relationships and is
committed to helping clients reconnect with their inherent worth, strengthen their sense of
agency, and move toward greater emotional wholeness.


Outside of the therapy room, Paul enjoys golfing, exploring specialty coffee, staying
active in the gym, and spending meaningful time with family and close friends.
