Assessment of Your Bipolar Symptoms
Upon initiation into our programs, our clinical staff will provide a thorough assessment and collaborate with you to determine the best level of care to treat your bipolar disorder and manage your symptoms.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) & Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
When you don’t require residential care, or are transitioning from it, or are looking for a more elevated level of care than a weekly therapy session, our PHP and IOP programs offer structured support while allowing you to maintain certain aspects of your daily routine.
Both programs include one-on-one and group therapy sessions with medication management where needed, case management sessions on an individual and group level, and our holistic therapy. Our outpatient treatment programs allow a more flexible schedule to live at home while attending the program during the day or evening and provides a community of mentors, relapse prevention education, personalized assessments, and holistic healing methods, and our PHP and IOP treatments ensure sustainable mind-body wellness.

PHP Includes:
90 days of treatment | 5 days per week | 6 hours per day
Monday through Friday

IOP Includes:
6-8 weeks of treatment | 3 days a week | 3 hours per day
This option works with your schedule, Monday through Friday
What to expect with our PHP and IOP programs
Depending on the level of care that best suits your needs, you may begin with our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and transition to the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), or begin directly at the IOP level.
Wherever your journey begins, after completing your treatment, you’ll become part of our supportive alumni community, offering encouragement and inspiration to others on their path to wellness. The nature of the mood episode can make you feel impulsive, engage in erratic behavior, have poor anger management, self-harm, experience increased energy, experience intense sadness, feel suicidal, and changes in sleep and appetite.
We will help you determine the type of bipolar disorder you are experiencing to develop the perfect personalized treatment plan. If you are experiencing Bipolar Disorder symptoms, finding a solution can feel daunting. Clear is here to support you in finding a helpful solution.

Types of Bipolar Disorder
Our clinicians have years of experience, training, and expertise in helping people navigate bipolar disorder. Empathically effective bipolar disorder treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis. Bipolar Diagnoses include:
- Bipolar I Disorder: With Bipolar I Disorder, you experience mood shifts that transition between mania and depressive episodes. Manic episodes typically last a week and depressive episodes up to 2 weeks. Your mood may stabilize. However, recurrent episodes of mania and depression precipitate shortly after. The intensity of the manic and depressive episodes usually requires psychiatric hospitalization.
- Bipolar II Disorder: In Bipolar II Disorder, you may experience a pattern of depressive episodes alternating with hypomanic episodes (less severe than full-blown mania). Hypomania involves a distinct period of elevated or irritable mood and increased activity or energy that lasts at least 4 days. Unlike Bipolar I, the manic episodes in Bipolar II are not severe enough to cause significant impairment in social or occupational functioning, nor do they require hospitalization.
- Cyclothymic Disorder: Cyclothymic Disorder is a lower form of Bipolar symptoms. Key indicators are that the mood fluctuation between hypomania and depression is less severe in intensity and duration. While less severe than Bipolar I or II, cyclothymic disorder still significantly impacts daily functioning and can progress into more severe forms of bipolar disorder.
With Bipolar Disorder, you may experience other mental health challenges such as anxiety, borderline personality disorder, and attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD). We will capture your unique mental health needs and build a program that serves you best.
If Bipolar disorder is contributing to substance use issues, Clear can assist you as well. Our dual-diagnosis outpatient and residential programs are clinically designed to provide treatment and management of underlying bipolar symptoms that may lead to substance use behavior.
