Our Residential Mental Health Treatment for Burnout
If your level of burnout is severely impacting your ability to function in everyday life or does not seem to be improving through outpatient treatment, our residential treatment program can provide the right setting for you to find balance.
In this level of care, you’ll engage in the same types of treatment that are available in our outpatient programs with the added support of staying in our home-like facility with 24 hour care, comfortable, semi-private rooms, cozy outdoor lounging areas, as well as delicious and nutritious meals.
Our residential program allows you to take a step back from the sources of burnout in your life, get some much needed rest, focus on relaxation, heal burnout symptoms, and develop healthy coping skills that you can take with you when you leave.
Types of Burnout
The most talked-about burnout type is job burnout, but other types do exist, which should be taken just as seriously.
- Job Burnout – Workplace burnout is a type of work-related stress that occurs when someone feels overwhelmed and unable to cope with the demands of their job, or lacks work-life balance. Symptoms of job burnout can look like physical and mental exhaustion, disillusionment, and unfulfilment. Left untreated, job burnout can lead to occupational consequences or serious health problems such as anxiety, depression, and heart disease.
- Caregiver Burnout – Caregivers experience burnout due to having a lot of different responsibilities to juggle, which leaves them with no time for themselves. Caregiver burnout can lead to physical and emotional exhaustion, as well as feelings of cynicism and detachment.
- Relationship Burnout – Burnout can happen in any kind of relationship, whether it’s with a romantic partner, friend, or family member. It’s often a result of unresolved issues that have been simmering for a long time. Eventually, the tension and stress of the situation become too much to bear, leading to a feeling of burnout. This can manifest as resentment, frustration, and even hatred. If left untreated, burnout can destroy relationships and, in some cases, it can even lead to divorce.
- School Burnout – Students who are constantly pressured to achieve perfect grades may be more likely to experience burnout. The same is true for those who are juggling multiple extracurricular activities or working long hours. School burnout is characterized by a lack of motivation, persistent fatigue, and feelings of hopelessness. Unfortunately, burnout is often mistaken for laziness or a lack of intelligence. It’s usually caused by too much stress and pressure. If left untreated, burnout can lead to serious academic problems, including poor grades and dropping out of school altogether.
Oftentimes, these types of burnout can be coupled with mental health conditions or can even be the cause of certain mental health conditions to arise. Additionally, you might find comfort in self-medicating to deal with stress which can lead to drug addiction. At Clear Behavioral Health, we help treat your burnout and mental health conditions in tandem.
