Caring Support For Your Depression

Living with depression can feel soul-shattering. It’s an invisible disability that despite being common, can cause you to feel immense shame. When you have not received appropriate care, depression can encapsulate your entire being with feelings of sadness, hopelessness, emotional, mental, and physical fatigue, sleep changes, appetite changes, and even suicidal thoughts and actions.

At Clear Behavioral Health, we’ve created depression programs that we customize for your specific clinical needs. Our specialized depression therapists take a collaborative approach by supporting you in decreasing your depressive symptoms, reigniting hope, and stabilizing your life.

Depression Treatments at Clear Behavioral Health

We treat your depression through our inpatient residential program, partial hospitalization program (PHP), and intensive outpatient program (IOP). All of our programs are in-network with most insurance providers, which enables medical coverage for your depression treatment to be streamlined and accessible.

Our outpatient and residential depression treatment programs are offered in Los Angeles and Redondo Beach.  We also offer an online depression treatment IOP program, which we developed with your convenience and comfort in mind by offering an array of therapeutic schedules. Our virtual IOP program maintains our high quality clinical approach, and is comfortable and accessible from any electronic device in California.

Our specialized depression programs are clinically engineered to support both adults and teens, and we customize them to meet your unique needs.

If you are seeking a less intensive modality of therapeutic treatment, we will work with you to determine if our individual therapy and psychiatric medication management options better suit your clinical needs through our partnership with Neuro Wellness Spa.

Initial Assessment

Once you are admitted to Clear, our clinical experts will conduct an in-depth assessment to determine your depression symptoms including intensity, current impairments, and your degree of functioning. Our team will then recommend a level of care that will decrease your depressive symptoms, increase your therapeutic skillsets, and bring balance to your life.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our PHP and IOP programs were developed with the full continuum of care in mind. Both programs provide individual therapy, group therapy, holistic therapies, and individual and group case management sessions. Both our PHP and IOP programs are designed using the most relevant, evidence-based solutions that have proven effective in helping you understand and manage your depression.

IOP

Includes:

  • 6-8 weeks of treatment
  • 3 days a week
  • 3 hours per day

You are free to identify the days that support your schedule, Monday through Friday

What to Expect with PHP and IOP

We first work with you to determine the best place to start: PHP or IOP. When you are admitted at the PHP level, you will begin a 5-day per week therapeutic journey. After successfully completing PHP, you will be moved into our IOP treatment. IOP treatment will continue to guide and support you as your depressive symptoms decrease in intensity and frequency. With a new outlook on life, you will complete your IOP treatment, leading to your graduation. You will then be a part of our caring alumni community which provides support, friendship, and connection.

In each program, you will work with a case manager, an individual therapist, a group therapist, and a holistic practitioner, for the perfect treatment schedule to heal your symptoms related to depression. These programs include:

Individual Therapy

You will attend individual therapy once a week. These sessions address your depressive symptoms, help you process the source of depression, provide psychoeducation on depression, and give you therapeutic tools for coping with depression.

Our therapists will determine which therapy method is best for you, such as eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, somatic therapy, gestalt therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Medication Management

Our therapists and psychiatrists identify effective depression medication such as antidepressants and meet with you to monitor the clinical impact and potential side effects of the prescription. We provide you with tailored psychiatric care that considers your environment, genetics, and mental state to monitor the effects of the medication.

You will have the opportunity to give and receive peer support and ease depressive feelings. You will also attend other types of group sessions which will focus on specific goals.

Holistic Groups

Each week, you’ll attend holistic therapy groups, which have been shown to alleviate depression symptoms by assisting you in reconnecting your mind and body by practicing mindfulness, yoga, meditation, sound baths and more.

The multi-pronged approach; the counselors, individual therapy, nutrition, sympathetic/empathetic counselors of each group session shifted my brain paths. You are never finished there, even when you “graduate”, they hold alumni group sessions when you feel you need it. I have nothing but gratitude for their program.

Clear Behavioral Health is my second family that I never knew I had that supported me and continues to passionately support the sober community. The therapists, counselors and group facilitators have been amazing in helping me have a voice, loving myself again, and seeing the world in a new light. I am eternally grateful.

From the get go, the staff made me feel welcome and were all very friendly. My therapist and case manager were also very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. I found that the somatic therapy was the most valuable for me, the therapist who ran those groups was great. My biggest takeaway from treatment was to take the time to pause, not be afraid to ask for help, and not worry about things in the moment. If you are looking for meaningful change and being part of a new and supportive community, then Clear Behavioral Health is the right fit.

Overall I loved the experience and did not want to leave. The staff was very helpful and motivated me to stay even when I felt like running away. I also built meaningful connections with my therapist and case manager who gave me a lot of useful advice and are still supporting me today. Since leaving, my family and sponsor have noticed a big difference, and I could not recommend a more supportive environment for addiction and mental health treatment, Clear saved my life.
