How long does it take to detox from alcohol?
Detoxing from alcohol is dependent on the severity of your alcoholism. In most cases, it will take around 5-7 days to detox from alcohol, with clients reporting the third day of their detox being the most difficult. Our detox program in our residential facilities provides around the clock support from our clinical staff, with medication assistance if necessary. We are there to support your withdrawal, monitor your progress, and ensure your safety throughout the entire process.
-
What is detox? And how long does it take to detox?
Detox is a stage in which the mind and body goes into once the body is letting go of a chemical that it has been dependent on for some time. Detoxing is usually associated with the idea of cleansing, but with substance use, it’s an intense physical, emotional and behavioral withdrawal that can have some what feels like unbearable features. However, detox is the most effective in providing first steps towards a better and healthier you.
The detox process is dependent on the substance you are detoxing from, but most clients find success in their detox and withdrawal symptoms within 5-7 days of starting the process. You will detox safely in our residential treatment center with the support of our clinical team for any challenges that may arise during your detox.
-
How to detox from drugs?
Detoxing from drugs depends on the drug you are detoxing from. Different drugs create different symptoms when it comes to detoxing. If not handled correctly, detoxing from substances such as Xanax and Alcohol can be fatal. If the addiction is severe, it will require medical supervision. However, medical detox is the most effective in all cases if the substance use is severe. Detoxing from drugs and alcohol can cause a complex reaction to the body, and mind depending on how long you or your loved one has been using, if there is a combination of substances being used and for how long. Detoxing is also measured in reaction to any other co-occurring medical conditions you might have.
