Biography
Brent Mayhew is an Associate Clinical Social Worker currently working as a therapist at Clear Behavioral Health’s substance abuse residential treatment and dual outpatient programs.
In addition to his master’s degree in social work from Cal State University of Long Beach, he has an undergraduate degree in human services and addiction studies and is a certified substance abuse counselor with a specialized credential for clinical supervision.
He has over 18 years of experience working in residential treatment in both public and private sectors in Los Angeles County. Brent is passionate about helping others explore the underlying issues that contribute to substance use disorders and the freedom clients experience in resolving them.
His personal recovery experience supplements his clinical knowledge of addiction and fosters a deep empathy and understanding where clients feel safe, respected, heard, and seen.
