Release Your Stress

Stress is a common and natural human reaction to challenging events in our lives. Whether you’re experiencing work burnout, relationship issues, health problems, or financial strain, dealing with stress can feel overwhelming and can affect you mentally and physically.

We have created supportive stress relief programs in California to help you manage your symptoms and provide valuable resources on ways to relieve symptoms from both current stressors and those from stressful events you may have experienced in your past.

Getting Stress Relief with Clear Behavioral Health

At Clear, we approach treating your stress by focusing on you. We base your treatment plan on the specific stress you are facing and create a customized stress relief program to treat your stress symptoms and address the underlying causes of those symptoms.

Our stress relief treatment program is focused on reducing stress in your day-to-day life. We offer stress relief for both adults and teens through our residential, virtual and in-person Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and our in-person Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). We provide these programs conveniently in-network with most insurance providers so you can focus on your treatment.

Our programs are available in our residential and outpatient facilities near you in Los Angeles and Redondo Beach, and in our online treatment option for those looking for a more convenient way to stress less.

Stress Assessment

Your initial consultation with our clinical team will include an in-depth assessment of your stress, the reasons behind it, and the symptoms you are experiencing. We’ll work with you to create the best treatment plan to help you develop the understanding, skills, and best ways to destress.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our PHP and IOP treatments for stress are customized to offer a full continuum of care. From your assessment to your treatment plan for handling stress in your daily life, we support you at every step.

Each program includes our individual and group therapists, the option for medication treatment if needed, our individual and group case management sessions, and our holistic groups.

What to Expect with PHP and IOP for Stress

Depending on your unique levels of stress, you’ll enter the program best suited to you. As you progress through treatment, you may transition through each program. You might start with our most concentrated treatment (PHP), and as you make progress, you’ll move into our IOP level of treatment. With continued treatment and success, you’ll graduate into our alumni community with the other graduates who’ve found success in our treatment.

Both our PHP and IOP programs offer individual and group therapy, case management sessions, holistic therapy, and medication management to provide support for your stress symptoms. These programs include:

Individual Therapy

Meeting with a therapist once a week will give you the opportunity to better understand the causes of your stress and your stress symptoms, and to gain the tools to relieve your stress symptoms.

Our therapists are educated in effective stress relief therapy methods such as cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), somatic therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), eye movement sensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, and gestalt therapy and will work with you to find what works for you.

Medication Management

If your stress symptoms can be better managed with medication, our clinicians will work with you to find the best medication to relieve your stress and help mediate your symptoms.

Case Management

Once a week, you will have a case management session to help you develop tools and skills to manage stress in daily life. These skills are incredibly useful for after treatment when stress manifests throughout your life.

Group Therapy

In our programs, you will attend daily group therapy sessions. Working through your stress in a group allows you to connect and find support from others also dealing with similar conditions, and heal together with your peers. These sessions are on topics such as skills building, relationship building, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Holistic Groups

You’ll join our holistic therapy groups, which include meditation for mindfulness, stress, yoga, sound baths, and more. Mindfulness has been proven as a successful skill to bring us back into our bodies through breathwork and these holistic groups remind you to stay present through your stress symptoms.

    What is Stress?

Stress is our body’s physiological and psychological response to things we are experiencing. When we go through distressing times, we can go into what’s called our activated flight, fight, fawn, or freeze responses. Stress isn’t only being overwhelmed and unable to live in the moment, but can affect us both psychologically and physically.

We aren’t only mentally and physically impacted by stress in the moment, but also stressors from our past. At every level of care, Clear will engage you in different therapeutic techniques and programs specifically to address how stressful events from your past may be impacting you now, how you’re managing stress in the here and now, and give you tools you can use throughout your lifetime.

    Types of Stress

We have a great team of experts to help you through your stress. Most types of stress can be characterized into two types of stress:

    • Acute Stress – This type of stress is minimal and usually only lasts a few moments. You can feel acute stress when you have a fight with a loved one, have a close interaction when driving, or are working to reach a deadline. This level of stress is considered normal to the human experience.
    • Chronic Stress – This type of stress is long term and can feel overwhelming or debilitating. Chronic stress can manifest through issues at work, unresolved social relationships, or financial problems. If left untreated, chronic stress can manifest into bigger health issues.

You can also experience stress-related conditions due to environmental factors such as work burnout, or emotional and caregiver burnout with compassion fatigue. Other conditions can include adjustment disorders, or general fatigue. With the help of our treatment programs, we can help you to work through symptoms or conditions.

Your stress might also coincide with other mental health issues such as OCD or anxiety. We have deep experience helping those with co-occurring disorders in our mental health residential and outpatient programs.

If you’re experiencing stress along with substance use disorders such as alcohol or prescription pill addiction, we offer supportive treatment through our dual diagnosis treatment residential and outpatient programs.

The multi-pronged approach; the counselors, individual therapy, nutrition, sympathetic/empathetic counselors of each group session shifted my brain paths. You are never finished there, even when you “graduate”, they hold alumni group sessions when you feel you need it. I have nothing but gratitude for their program.

Clear Behavioral Health is my second family that I never knew I had that supported me and continues to passionately support the sober community. The therapists, counselors and group facilitators have been amazing in helping me have a voice, loving myself again, and seeing the world in a new light. I am eternally grateful.

From the get go, the staff made me feel welcome and were all very friendly. My therapist and case manager were also very helpful and supportive throughout the whole process. I found that the somatic therapy was the most valuable for me, the therapist who ran those groups was great. My biggest takeaway from treatment was to take the time to pause, not be afraid to ask for help, and not worry about things in the moment. If you are looking for meaningful change and being part of a new and supportive community, then Clear Behavioral Health is the right fit.

Overall I loved the experience and did not want to leave. The staff was very helpful and motivated me to stay even when I felt like running away. I also built meaningful connections with my therapist and case manager who gave me a lot of useful advice and are still supporting me today. Since leaving, my family and sponsor have noticed a big difference, and I could not recommend a more supportive environment for addiction and mental health treatment, Clear saved my life.
