Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is outpatient mental health treatment?
Outpatient mental health treatment is a program that treats mental health disorders in an outpatient setting. This level of mental health care is a step down from an inpatient or hospitalization level of care, and a step up from weekly sessions with a mental health therapist. Our outpatient mental health program meets 3-5 days per week, and 3-6 hours per day, depending on the level of care that will suit you best, and offers therapy and case management sessions in an individual and group setting, as well as holistic therapies in a group setting.
-
Which symptom indicates that someone may need mental health treatment?
The best way to determine if you or someone you love needs mental health treatment is if the symptoms of your mental health issues are interfering with your daily life.
Symptoms vary widely depending on the mental health disorder you have, but common symptoms include inability to maintain work, school or relationships and the inability to maintain common life responsibilities.
-
If I join the mental health program, will I be in groups with clients who struggle with addiction?
At Clear, we offer individualized tracks for dual diagnosis, primary mental health, and adolescent treatment to ensure specialized care. We also offer age-specific tracks for teens, young adults and adults and professionals. This means our clients benefit from a supportive community of peers overcoming similar challenges.
-
How does mental health outpatient treatment work?
In Clear’s outpatient program, clients typically have a structured daily schedule that includes individual and group therapy sessions, experiential modalities, and dedicated time to focus on life skills. Most of our in-person clients start at the PHP level of care and participate in therapeutic programming 5 days a week for 6 hours a day. After PHP, clients step down into IOP or virtual IOP and participate 3 to 5 days a week for 3 hours a day before transitioning back into an independent lifestyle. All levels of care include a variety of evidence-based modalities to ensure the highest potential for success.
-
Is therapy and outpatient programming the same thing?
Mental health outpatient treatment includes therapy and much, much more. Clear’s mental health PHP, IOP and virtual IOP provide a wide range of therapeutic and experiential experiences including individual therapy, group therapy and counseling in a supportive community of others on the healing journey.
